On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. Acts 1:4

Waiting on God to deliver His promises can be trying at times, but we can find rest in the fact that God’s character never changes. God is never late, and He always keeps His promises (Hab 2:3; Deut. 7:9). Knowing these two characteristics about God, we can trust that when God issues a promise, He will deliver at just the right time.

When has God proven faithful to you in the past? What promise are you currently waiting on Him to fulfill? How will you demonstrate your faithfulness to Him as you wait on Him to deliver?
