We’re not saved by faith and works, but as Martin Luther once said, we are saved by faith THAT works. If our faith doesn’t get deep into our bones and make us want to demonstrate that we are a new creation in Christ, is it really faith?
Perhaps one of the biggest problems our world faces today is the overwhelming number of those who claim to be “saved” yet their lives show little to no eveidence that anything has changed as a result of their encounter with our risen Lord who said, “If you love me, you will obey my commands.”
We don’t obey in order to earn Christ’s love, but if we’re really greatful for the work of Christ in our lives, how should that manifest itself in the way we walk and talk on an every day basis?
Repent and turn, then demonstrate like your loved ones depend on it!
