In his book, More, Todd Wilson issues a challenge to readers to embrace measuring the efficacy of our time spent on earth, not by our own personal accomplishments, but by the impact of others in whom we’ve intentionally invested. Wilson is convinced that if just 1% of Christians were to own the mantle of leadership issued to us through Christ’s Great Commission, we could change the world and eternity over the span of just one generation![1]

Wouldn’t it be great to spend the next year being an integral part of bringing about this desperately needed change in our world? Here are three keys Wilson gives to help you become a part of the change you’d like to see in 2018:

Embrace Your Identity

Start seeing your life as it should be, under the complete Lordship of Jesus. Toss out the cultural Christian mindset of asking others to come and see, and adopt the Biblical mindset of inviting others to come and follow me.

Redefine Your Success

Start defining your success based on a new scorecard. The fruit of your labor won’t be anything you do. Rather, your fruit will be the result of what God does through others in whom you’ve invested.

Tithe Your Time

Start giving the first fruits of your time and energy to investing in those God has placed in your path. This is difficult because it’s easy to either pretend we’re already doing this or to make excuses why we can’t. Give the Great Commission priority on your calendar, and believe that God can multiply your time as easy as fish and bread.
